Hope their Barrister brings up all your fine charitable work, whare I know every penny raised goes straight to your good works.

Now that would really discredit you.

Good luck Rob

Good luck on Monday Rob

If you dont mind I may pop down to the court one day for curiosity and moral support.

I hope the Judge can see sense and make the casinos pay your legal costs.

All the very best to you Rob, and all the team, and may all your hard work, in all areas,  be rewarded in a successful conclusion to this situation.  Bainn and I greatly look forward to seeing you all at DTD.

Haha, "don't count chickens" comes to mind, but seriously, there is absolutley zero reason why we should not get this licence, I know it, and so do the 3 objectors, and I am sure the court are well aware of the delaying games that have been employed here. I am 100% confident, there is no need for luck, if for some crazy reason I do not get a positive result, I have plenty to do outside of poker to keep me busy.

Cheers Rob

Just to add my good wishes. It's hard to see how this case can possibly last 4 days.

Surely any attempt to discredit you has to be irrelevant to this hearing doesn't it? Isn't this hearing all about demand for the facility? I would have thought "fit and proper to run this sort of establishment" issues were covered under the casino licence process?

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

5. I went to watch the Gala barristor in action in Bradford V Thistle Hotels, he was very clever and really put the screws on the Thistle Witnesses, although he hardly ever mentioned "DEMAND" (the only criteria the magistrstes consider in awarding a licence) he did manage to throw up plenty of "smoke screens" On this basis, I am sure that I and any other dtd witnesses are in for a hard time in court.

Rob
Just a pointer ... Having been to court on a number of occasions...professionally of course.. The Barrister will try to throw up smoke screens and ask questions in a verbally challenging way .. i.e. big words confusing sentences... All you have to say is "I dont understand the question could you re phrase it please" Two things 1) it will throw them as they will have there preparred questions but not alternates and two you can guarantee the magistrates won't understand and they will be thankful that its been made more comprehensible.. Short answers as well...
Cometh the hour ..Cometh the man.. I sent you a PM wishing all the best
But Again All the best!
