Howdy ho, peeps. This is where it starts... all over again, in 'Groundhog Day' fashion as Chili called it. But although the times, structure, venue and whatnot are unchanged, the players will be different, and all you lucky viewers will be treated to all the latest info on players such as Daniel Negreanu, Noah Boaken, Ram Vaswani, Gavin Griffin and Julian Thew (something for everyone there!)

As always, please feel free to hurl out your requests like a tennis ball machine and we'll do our best to catch as many balls as we can. Whatever their nationality, just post their name and we'll hunt them down, but please get those requests in early so we can locate them before they move table.

As with today, play is scheduled to commence at 1pm, but will probably kick-off nearer to 2pm again due to the awkward 12pm casino opening and the last minute entries. Make sure you join us so we don't end up speaking to ourselves - although I do like a brief natter on my own now and then.

Finally, I have to leave you with a cracking little quote that I read in Des Wilson's new book, Ghosts at the Table...

When told the game he was playing in was crooked, Canada Bill nonchalantly replied, "I know, but it's the only game in town."

Has anyone else got any favourite poker quotes?

I will be coming down to have a bit of a rail in a minute, but in a way lying on my sofa reading these updates is plenty good... enjoy Day 1B Snoops and Chili.

My luck wish, which never seems to do anything but might as well get a mention: HitSquad assorted members, Roland de Wolfe, guest Scandies Ramzi Jelassi and Sebastian Riviere, UK counterparts Nik Persaud and James Dempsey.  Have a nice day.

I am going to wear trainers to the Vic, and relish every comfortable second.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
