It's been a slow post-dinner start, but there have been the odd meaty hands, one of which near chip leader Ludovic Lacay whose pre-flop raise was called by Jan Veit on the button. A
Flop and Ludovic bet out 7k only to be re-raised by Jan. Ludovic quickly announced all-in, but with just 15k left, Veit passed in equal time, much to the delight of Ludovic who couldn't resist a cheeky chuckle.
One table down, Andy Black is crossing swords with Paddy O'Connor for the umpteenth time, this time the latter coming out on top with a triumphant 36.5k push all-in on a
Flop.

Good luck to all the Brits left in. I am also supporting Kenneth Hicks Jr. as his surname is most excellent.

Swedish youngster Ramzi Jelassi is OUT. I didn't catch the pe-flop action, but he clashed with Mike McDonald in the big blind and checked a
Flop. Mike bet out, Ramzi raised, Mike pushed all-in and Ramzi called, for what was ultimately a paltry sum.
Ramzi =
Mike =
Turn =
River =
Ramzi not a happy chappy.

On the next table, Ash Hussain knocks Dave Colcough down to just 15k with
versus
all-in on a Flop of
. Turn and River were blanks.
"You don't know how far behind you are," claims Ash Hussain on the Flop. "I'm happy with the pot as it is."
On the turn of the River, Ash rose from his seat and clapped his hands, "Come on!" much like he did in the 2006 Monte Carlo final when he outdrew Kristian Ulriksen. Obviously winning an EPT means a lot to the former European Rankings winner.

Great news for Paul Gourlay as he just doubled up thru Lacay. There was a raise of 4,600 which Lacay just called which resulted in Gourlay going all in for a further 12,700 from the small blind. Lacay clearly didn't want to call as the original raiser passed, but he did and the result was:
Gourlay
Lacay
Paul's 6's were good and he now has a much healthier 40,000.
We have just started Level 12
1,000 / 2,000 200 ante
40 players left
82,000 average

Andy went out in the most testicle crunching of ways, his Aces versus Kings, all-in pre-flop, flopping a set and then losing to runner runner flush.
In think that is worthy of an ouch picture...

This is the downbeaten image of a defeated man, a shortstacked Dave Colclough a mere shadow of his earlier self with just 14k in chips.
"It's the curse of Day 2," moans El Blondie dejectedly. "I think we've seen this before".
However, he's still in, albeit it with few chips, but alive nonetheless and still in with a shot if he can gather speed with a couple of double ups.

In stark contrast, Norway's Johnny Lodden is as elated as ever with his progress, a surprisingly quiet, but
non
surprisingly successful day seeing his stack shoot up to the dizzy heights of 104,000. Why this lad hasn't made an EPT final is anyone's guess, but perhaps this year's Dublin EPT will belong to bad_ip.

Andy Black has been temporarily silenced (although I assure you it will only be momentary) after doubling up Michiel Brummelhuis. When I joined the action, it was on your backs times with Michiel relieved to be ahead with Twos versus A-K. An intriguing second glance requiring 2-Q-A-4-A board later and it was all she wrote.
