if your having a fry up for dinner then chips are allowed.

but it has to be those homemade ones your mammy made in the deep fat fryer , none of your posh mccains oven ones.

Square sausage , fried egg , ham , beans , homemade chips and brown sauce , mmmmmmmmmm thats my dinner sorted tonight  thumbs up

Chips with a fry-up - no (I'm not keen on hashbrowns, home fries. fired potoatoes either) - the only tattie product should be a tattie scone (or as the irish call them farls).

Toato sauce should be in the cupboard, although I do remember when we first moved back to Scotland, staying in my Gran's pre-fab & it was so cold at night we put the tomato sauce in the fridge after a bottle started to freeze & cracked the bottle.

i've spoken at length with various people about this and to my surprise the opinions were mixed.

At the ept dublin a bloke sat on the next table at breakfast would only have a large hot chocolate and buttered toast, the strange bit for me was that he dipped the toast in his hot chocolate. I was almost hysterical with confusion and revulsion.

What is acceptable and not acceptable to dip in hot drinks?
