Former EPT champs are going good. Arnaud Mattern is sitting on a 31k stack, as is Julian Thew who just eliminated a medium stacked player with Ace King versus Queens AIPF. The Queens had made it 1k to go, Julian made it 3,200 and the Queens pushed for 8k more with Thewy making the call.

Nicolas Levi is kicking himself after completely missing the fact he made a backdoor flush. Raising with the and betting a J-x-x (two spades, one diamond flop) against another player. The turn brought another diamond and Nicolas bet again, and was called once more. The river made his flush with the , but he didn't see it, so both players checked. The other played showed J-T and Nicolas mucked, before then seeing that he had actually had a flush. It was too late though and the 8k pot went sailing the other way...

Incredibly, Peter Gould, who is renowned for his eclectic collection of tropical shirts has dressed down tonight, although he's still donning a shirt that would make Liberace look dull. No change for Gouldy, he's on around 18-19k.

Although seemingly at ease with the world and in good spirits, Dave Colclough's laid back demeanour just transformed into a squirming haddock that had been whisked out of the waters after tangling with Steve Jelinek's Russian bride, Irena Liepina. The Flop that had El Blondie in a fit of bamboozlement read  As , and after his raise was re-raised all-in by Irena, he was left with what appeared to be a highly taxing decisions. A few arm stretches, lean on seats and scratching of heads later and Dave flips over A-T for what Floppy described as either a "crazy good" or "crazy bad" fold. Irena smirked smugly and quietly handed her cards over to the dealer.

Not sure I'd want to highlight one of this dealer's mistakes. Looks like I'd be on the receiving end of a knuckle sandwich!

Dan Carter's drop in chips is mostly due to raising with K-J and getting called by the big blind, who proceeded to bet out the whole way on a K-Q-J-x-x board, Dan flat-called every street but was shown K-Q at the river.

Luca Pagano is OUT, he had top set against a gutshot which then turned a flush draw, (when all the money went in) which hit on the river.

Dave Colclough is feeling a lot better after Irina told him she had pocket Eights, "I don't care if she's lying, I feel a lot better now..."

He's since picked up a few chips here and there, first with K-J against Q-J on a Jack-high board and then hitting a flush against trip Jacks. Back up to about 15k

Peter Gould is on 40k after flopping a set of twos and being set in on the river by an aggressively played King Jack which rivered two pair.

Johnny Lodden -- 50k

John Shipley's ship looked to being sailing off early as he was down to around 8k, but he just called a raise before c/raising a bet and a call on from 1,200 to 3,700 to take the pot. Everything is now looking a little more ship shape for Shipley after he shipped that one. Don't think he said, "Ship it to Shipley," though.
