I bumped into Red Simon. He told me he was playing the razz competition as a form punishment for playing badly in something else.
I think he finished second.
That'll teach him.
If he was playing the razz, he got beat by a girl...but fair play for nabbing second.
Joanna Sharp. Who's she when she's at home?
Pretty sure Geo the Sarge is her cousin. I know she's cousins with one of his cousins, so surely that makes them cousins too, yeah?
Anyway...we call her Jo and she mostly resides on APAT. Lovely girl. She supplied the mother load of Cheetos and Butterfinger bars you saw me handing out around the place. Actually, I think you missed out on the Butterfinger bars. Damn. You'd have really liked those too. She lives near an American military base and has friends who can get Yanky treats for us Yanks.
She sounds nice.
Can you point her towards blonde? We need more girls.
I knew that was coming next! Pretty sure she lurks here anyway, but will tell her and link her to your diary.
No don't do that. My diary is too emotionally charged and torrid for a first meeting.
Link her to something more mundane... like Tony's diary.
Does she like concrete? I have some hardcore concrete stuff coming up.
Were you hoping she'd stick around?
I have girls galore on my Diary, but I don't flirt, not like what Tom does. If she has no interest in life's finer things, concrete, bridges, Robbie Williams, she's no good to me, I have to thin the field.
I'll Have you know I don't flirt. If you don't believe me, just ask the gorgeous Melissa.

All that's missing is your own version of the DTD valet's outfit with a blondepoker sash worn across the front.

....young, gifted.....
Oddly, a lot of folks PM me, too, with stuff that would be really good if aired publically, but it is really nice to get such notes.
How is the anti- diet going? 16 stone in sight yet?
Glad to hear the APAT event was going well, what a wonderful thing APAT is. Sad I had to part company with them, but I had become a passenger, I just did not have the time to devote to it. Maybe I will become involved again in due course, when my personal circumstances allow it.
Best thing I ever did in poker, APAT, am very proud of it.
Morning Mr Kendall, I think APAT is definitely the best thing you have done in poker up to the present date. It made poker affordable for the masses & I sure hope it stays that way. APAT changed my life in so many ways and this years WCOAP was fantastic, seeing friends old and new was fabulous.
I even got to meet the wonderful writer of this diary, what a joy! Lovely to meet you at last Tom x

Ha, thanks Sharon, though APAT was not "me", it was a bunch of us, the others did the hard work & I just swanned around. Though we all earned our corn when APAT was first announced, jeez we got a proper battering everywhere, on every Forum, it was real backs to the wall stuff for us. Not a soul, or barely so, trusted us, "
what, something for nothing, piss off
" sorta thing. Then Lord Duffy got his Ferrari & it all went quiet.......
You'd be amazed how many preople say similar to you, as to APAT, what an amazing thing.
"....wonderful writer of this Diary?...."
This is Tom's Diary not mine.
Hope all is well with you, Shaz.

I have to change the gas on the girls trailer today.
We have one bottle on the girls trailer, two on the chalet, and one on the portacabin. On average, I change one a week.
During my lifetime I must have changed thousands of bottles, and it's becoming one of those 'pet hate' jobs.
For a start, the regulator has to be done up real tight, so that when I undo it, I regularly scuff a knuckle or bruise the heel of my hand while using it to jar the spanner.
Then there's the smell.
When produced, propane is colourless and odourless. For safety and detection purposes, a chemical odorant, ethyl mercaptan, (AKA the stinkiest stuff in the world) is added so that you can tell if you have a gas leak.
The trouble is, because the bottle is down to the last dregs, any tiny puff of escaping gas is very rich in ethyl mercaptan, and the odour is almost impossible to remove from your hands.
Lastly, they remind me that I'm getting old.
Although they are called 47kg gas bottles, 47kg is only the weight of the gas inside, the bottle it's self weighs at least another 60kg. That's like 16 /17 stone total. I used to fling them around like toffee papers, but these days I lie them down and roll them.

I met (and hugged) Supernova for the first time this weekend.
She had just bubbled one of the events, (which is always a bit of a bugger) but she should be proud that she went so deep.
Huuuuuuuge blush here.
Yes a hug indeed and an even better one the following night. I'm sorry I was very emotional after bubbling my first H.O.R.S.E event in 7th place to say the least, I really wanted the win, what a result/story that would have been! I also played my first Stud tourney & finished 14th. Got it in good twice in the ME too which is all you can ask of yourself. Still learning, still improving, still have a few heath issues, still manage to break or blow up nearly everything I touch. Still believing in laughing for the win x

She's an absolute sweetie and an excellent card player! Was gutted for her in that one. HORSE is no walk in the park, but I don't think Supernova will be happy with the deep run in such a tough game/field. She wanted that win.
You are too kind hun & yup it's safe to say I was gutted too, I really thought I was going to get that little jingly bracelet sigh, but I guess what could inspire me even more? I'm finding that now I have the gumption to even enter some of the variants I'm loving them more than NLHE.

LOL no Tom, it's not just you! I'll think of a couple to post in the next day or two. Now though I have to go out & restock from being away. At the moment I live a stones throw away from a famous racecourse. It's fab most of the time but after today the main road will be blocked off during the day and it's all a pain....
