This Diary continues to, err, fascinate.

Yesterday, Quality Street Tins.

Today, Tom purchased some washers.

Incred.

Tomorrow, we shall discuss the price of potato crisps.

Cool, some economics to add to the art, science and engineering discussion.  Best thread in the house.

And from Red's washers post we've touched on numismatism, metalurgy, the law..... It's all good, I mean we could be discussing sticky buns and Las Vegas architecture

Definitely better than the alternative. It's like watching concrete dry over there.

Please.

Set, cure, go off, not "dry".

Concrete does not "dry".

Sheer ignorance.

I'm obviously with you but let's hope he doesn't start googling, could be here all week

Would bring a little life to a moribund & frankly rather dull Diary, though.

Next up, egg whisks.

Jonathan Ross has been arrested for shoplifting kitchen utensils.

When questioned he said, "I knew it was a whisk, but it was a whisk worth taking."

I'm so disappointed.

I was really hoping he was going to be banged-up with Worrell-Thompson.

I have a pet squirrel Tom or perhaps I should say he has a pet golfer.

He took a piece of chocolate from my hand today for the first time and his little paws were gentle as he took it. I was quite touched. He's a canny old bugger and only has half of his tail, he went ballistic when he saw me feeding one of his mates last week too.

I didn't have much choice of colour for my wire so I had to stick labels on.

Great story Ralph. Try to get a pic next time.

I had a pet squirrel once, Cyril I called him.

I got him when big Sid Taylor ran over him and broke his leg. I made him a splint out if a lolly stick and he mended in no time.

He was a great pet, he used to go in the lorry with me and sit on top of the steering wheel. When I went around a corner he would shuffle he's feet to stay at the 12 O'clock position.

I lost him one the day when a girly squirrel came fluttering her eyelashes.

Mrs Red interrupted my busy schedule to show me this.

Too much time on her hands imo.

Is that a sabre-toothed runner-bean that Mr Tomato is impaled upon?

No, it's a laurel tree reflected in a pairing knife.

I've thought of a suitable name for my squirrel with half his tail missing.

Arthur.

I'll try and get a pic or two during the week.
