Was interested to hear the Pope has declared that atheists can get to heaven. Cool - me and Kinboshi are going to reserve a VIP table. The Pope is running a long con. He knows that once you get in there you won't be atheists.

To be fair, by that point I'll have seen some evidence of their (the religion's) god's existence- so will be more willing to change my current beliefs.

Tal- That was a joke, based on the fact that you always have a hilarious video ready for any situation, but thanks for the reply... http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=62357.0

What the hell has happened to soap? Leave it overnight on the side of the sink and by morning it's turned to snot.
Where is the soap of my youth? Like a good woman it was. Sweet smelling and durable, but resilient and difficult to work in to a lather.

I remember years ago having a conversation about death.
Is it fate, or is it that your time is up?
Thoughts?
Also, how strongly do you believe in karma? Ever had a good example of good karma in your life?
I don't believe in fate. If you are standing at the kerb waiting to cross a busy road and you decide to step in frond of a bus, you will die, not because of fate, and not because your time is up, but because you decided to step in front of a bus. But what if everything is pre-determined including your own thoughts so the fact that you had that idea on any giving day to jump in front of a bus was always going to be your path. So later when you tell Mrs Red when Mrs Red tells you to get the tea on it was pre-determined that on 9th October 2013 at 18:42 that Mrs Red would tell you to get the mince and dumplings on. Not that I believe that, just saying Personally I do believe in fate and think when it's your time it's geeg, destiny on the otherhand I don't believe in. Karma is quite clearly a load of bullshit.

Monda, how can you believe in fate and not destiny? Surely destiny is just your predetermined fate?
I don't really "believe" in anything but that still doesn't stop me practicing good karma and looking upto the sky every now and then.

Just how I roll mate. How do you mean practicing good karma ? Just try and do good shit whenever I can really. Keep the bad joo joo away. Today for example; I needed a fridge for my garage to store booze this Xmas. A woman on facebook was selling one for a tenna but needed to use it until Friday when she moves house, I said I would buy it and collect Friday afternoon. Then a large combi fridge / freezer came across my path for pennies so now I can store booze and choc ices in the garage. I felt bad letting her down and didn't want her putting any negative feelings towards me "out there", so I said I would give her £5 as an apology or if she leaves it I will take it to the skip. She is going to try and sell it short notice and doesn't appear to be too angry with me.. it's all about the vibes maan.

One day a pigeon is going to shit in your eye. If that is my fate or I am destined to be shit in the eye by a pigeon then so be it.

I was thinking more along the lines of doing something good in the hope that something good happens to you, due to this ridiculous idea of Karma, as opposed to just doing something good for someone else without hoping for something in return.

for me it's more about preventing bad than hoping to receive good. It's probs all mumbo jumbo but trying to be a bit nicer can't be a bad thing imo.
