How much of his duffel-coat had Tracy eaten by now?

I stumbled across this today. It was taken in Hinckley town centre in 1965. The sign says Billiard Hall. Four full size tables.

This building has been replaced by a public toilet now.

So if you've been paying attention, (Archer has, God bless him) you will know that I fitted bluetooth coms into my motorcycle helmet. This allows me to listen to the radio, make/take phone calls and link up to the coms in my bro John's helmet.

But, solving one problem created another one, namely charging the phone and helmet coms when we're camping. So I bought this from Ebay for eight quid.

It has a twin port USB charger, (1amp & 2.1amp) it's waterproof and the cover is also a useful little clock, which is great because I can't see my watch with my gloves and jacket on.

Unfortunately, you have to pay extra for the girl.

I decided to wire it directly to the battery, which meant I had to remove some fairing to access it. I did find a nice little tool kit hidden away in there though.

I got it all wired in nice and tidy, although I did have to extend the wires because the original ones weren't long enough. The manufacturers know this but copper is so expensive that they must save a fortune by making each wire two feet too short.

Here's the finished article. I've tested it and it works great.

I think it turned out OK for eight quid. Ah'm reet chuffed.

It's all pretty basic stuff really Vin. I learned it while other children were in school learning to do all the things I can't do.

I had to drive through Loughborough University campus today. Everywhere I looked was thronging with bright young things, carrying their books, chatting and laughing. Having their time of their lives. I envied them so much.

I wonder if they realise that the world is at their feet?
