I'm trying to remember the name of an English rose type TV actress. Blonde, curly, blue eyes, popular in the 70's, I want to say she was a regular panellist on game shows...

He only gets an A for that.
A+ if he'd said "Give us a clue"

I was listening to a debate about the continuing fall in fuel prices this morning and one geezer said it was partly because the petrol age is coming to an end.
"Oh no it isn't" says geezer number two, "we have massive reserves of oil still available" To which geezer number one replies, "Well the stone age didn't end because we ran out of stone".

Thanks Skip.
I thought it was a great line. It stopped geezer number one in his tracks.

Yep. That woulda been great, but I'm still flabbergasted to think he got it first shot from such a vague description.
Give us a clue reminds me of Una Stubbs. I had a thing for Una back in the day. She was kinda my type, pettite, dark, smiley, cleverer than me.... (Am I alone in being attracted to bright women?)

I once went in to a bookies in Staley Bridge and bumped into Anthony Booth, her co star from the 'Til Death us do Part' series. What an obnoxious man. I very nearly chinned him.

Damn...so sure it was Anne Aston before I saw the answer. The 70's answer to Rachel Riley

Yes, many people have said the same of Antony (no "h") Booth.
It never failed to surprise me that he is the father of Cherie Blair, the wife of our ex Prime Minister, & a QC I believe.
This is quite an interesting extract from his Wiki....
Booth nearly burned to death in 1979 when, during a drunken attempt to get into his locked flat, he fell into a drum of paraffin. He spent six months in hospital and needed 26 skin graft operations. Shortly after his discharge from hospital, he went to visit an 'old flame', Coronation Street actress Pat Phoenix. She took him in and nursed him back to full health, and they lived together for six years, but eventually, Pat Phoenix's own health began to fail; she became his second wife in 1986, just days before her death from lung cancer.
Sadly, he was diagnosed with the dreaded Alzheimers in 2004.

Isn't Wikipidea just great?
When I watch TV, no matter what it is, I always end up looking up stuff on wiki.
Bowie passed away, first thing I did was read his Wiki page.
I was trying to watch some NFL game last night - it is SO confusing - but Wiki generally gets me off the hook.
It had a bad name originally, Team Smartarse complained it was not accurate, but it's free, & nobody has to refer to it. These days I think it is much better respected.
