Mark my words, this will be a momentous year for the Owls.
On the poker front, I'm playing like a God. All I need now is to start running a little better, win the odd crucial race etc, and I'm gonna do some real damage. This time next year, I'll be farting through silk.
If you want some of the gravy, watch out for staking opportunities.

New words.
Where do new words come from? Or to be more precise, why are old words like "Grim" and "Level" given new meanings?
Why those particular words for that particular purpose?
Do you use them?
Are they exclusive to the poker world, or would your average street wise youth know what a "Level" is?
Do people with other interests make up their own words?
Do glider club members say things like "I say, that cad Algy scuffed me for £100 and now the marl rake has bleaked me"?

I don't know what level means either, in the context its started to be used on here anyway. Its used by americans alot and you see it in the US forums all the time. I guess the guys using it on here have picked it up from there becuse its not an English word for sure.
Its funny what a bunch of sheep people are at times. Another word that started appearing in the US forums about 6 months ago or so is 'bink' or 'I got binked', its started appearing on here the odd time recently and I reckon it could be the standard word used soon for an outdraw, particularly by the online players.

level and grim as used were both "invented" on 2+2. like a "stop n go" for example their strict definition changes as more and more people use the term. level goes back years to sklansky books and grim from the poster grimmstar

A few years ago, during a festival at the Grosvenor casino in Blackpool, Claire brought two beautiful puppies into the cardroom. How she got them past security I'll never know, they were so big and boisterous, but to her credit Claire kept them under close control almost all of the time.
Everyone admired them. Naturally I took an immediate interest and made a point of checking on their progress as often as I could. I think Claire was glad to have someone with my experience to keep an eye on them and whenever I was in town we would discuss their development.
Last year Claire moved to DTD in Nottingham, which means I get to see her much more regularly. The puppies have matured beautifully. Looking at them now, I think you would be hard pressed to find two finer examples of "Man's best friend"
So, as you can see, Claire and I have, over the years, developed a good relationship based on trust and mutual respect. When she is working she is the the consumate professional, and when she is off duty she is warm and friendly without being too forward.
Claire was dealing to me last night and she saw me looking at her from the corner of my eye. Imagine my feelings when she shifted her position slightly to reveal a bunch of dark hair with a little flash of pink showing through.
Things will never be the same.
