Ah, yes. We all accept that time travel is possible (in theory) as time isn't constant...time has always been relative. ("Time" will start moving more slowly when the universe starts to contract again. This is obv only noticeable to an outside observer which is the point of relativity.) But it's always been there. IMO time has always been there to an observer from outside the universe (if you picture the observer as Will Smith in MIB and our universe as the thing inside the cat's necklace) and only they would be able to see it moving more slowly and speeding up. The one thing doesn't rule out the other. (although it's getting very confusing now)

anything that, due to the inadequecies of our language, would be classed as 'before' the big bang would be in another cat's neclace. to claim that these necklaces have a temporal connection is a nonsense

the cat's necklace metophore doesn't quite work, I'll admit. it wouldn't be in another cat's necklace though...but you know this really. I was just pointing out that it (time slowing down) would only be noticeable to an outside observer. The cat's necklace has nothign to do with our universe being on a curve and therefore accepting that a new universe canstart after this one is gone...and as it's starting from, essentially, the same energy source there is no reason to assume it would have to be somewhere else..(Like another cat's necklace)
I did state that I accept that time travel is possible, the "in theory" bit obv refers to it not having been done yet.

They aren't younger than when they went, but they have aged slower.  The same would go for someone who lived at the top of Everest all their lives.

That's why I said time-travel in the usual sense of the term.  Astronauts age more slowly than someone on earth because of the time dilation effect, which is a central concept in Einstein's theory of general relativity.  In fact, predictions based on this have been proven using atomic clocks and the experiments brought back results that the theory said it would.  Showing that a theory isn't just a guess.
