I don't always know who they are from, sometimes it just comes up as a number. Texts, ditto. I had one this morning that said "thank you for last night, you were awesome". I kid you not. But it was just a "number". Could have been anyone.....

Somtimes you remind me of Andersen, or the brothers Grimm...

You have whooshed me there.

Standing outside DTD, talking to someone i didn't really want to talk to I got a text from a nearby Tikay which said "Do you want rescuing?"

I texted back "Yes please, ring me" and I waited for the call. I continued waiting, and waiting and waiting as my undesirable 'friend' continued warbling on about bad beats etc etc.

Eventually I made a very bad excuse and got away. I challenged Mr Kendall "Why didn't you ring me?" I asked. "Sorry" he said with a broad grin "I thought it would be rude to interrupt".

Who needs friends.......

I can't believe he would find that amusing.....

Lol.

I had taken a bet with someone that the geezer giving you the bad beat earache would try to nip you, or sell you some moody gear. You were the only player in DTD he had not tried to "touch" that night!

There's even an app for that for my phone.  You hit a button and a few moments later, your phone will ring and you can pretend to take the call and escape.  More reliable than getting a 'friend' to ring you...

Anyone watching Slumdog Secret Millionare on Ch4? What a tearjerker.

It's hard to comprehend such hardship and poverty.

Just as well the producers of this programme are on hand to povo things up a bit for our viewing pleasure.

This is a documentary if the definition of documentary is widened to include all moving images on the television that aren't sit-coms, panel shows, chat shows or adverts.

I'd call it reality TV but meh

Meh, I'm watching the it on 4+1 now. I've been to Mumbai and a couple of the slums and it is a proper shithole, it doesn't really need much selective editing tbh. Its hard to comprehend unless you have seen it first hand.
