You any good at fixing windscreen wipers Tom?
Have you tried a dishcloth on a stick?
As you may recall, in the early 60's, many cars had a windscreen wiper (just the one) that was operated from an air reservoir, & when you drove uphill, air did not go into the reservoir. So drive uphill in the rain without a wiper, drive downhill with the wiper zooming back & forth at the speed of light. Utterly reliable though.
Air reservoir, rubber tube, one wiper, on off button. Nothing to pop on.

There was also a little crank on the back of the wiper motor (Which sat exposed, just above your head) so that in an emergency you could operate it manually.
BTW- I have used the rag on a stick method.

I used it last week, believe it or not. Not sure the Constabulary would have been overly impressed, or even "Speed does not kill" Kinboshi.

I remember when window washers first became compulsory (I think it coincided with the opening of the M1)
You could buy a "Conversion kit" which consisted of a length of tube with a nozzle on one end and a plastic bottle on the other.
You would wedge the nozzle so that it pointed in the general direction of the window, and put the bottle in the foot well of the car where you could stamp on it.

Hang fire Chip. I have recently become very friendly with a bloke called Kalash. He has a lovely wife and 6 children. The weather is mild in New Deli.

Thanks, but I'm all sorted now (For the moment).
It helped when I realised that the bloke on the other end of the phone was just an ordinary chap trying to do his job.

'Speeding' does not kill. Not 'speed' does not kill.
Please get it right.

For one reason or another, I've been stuck indoors for two days and I've gone all turgid.

The collective term for a group of molehills is a citadel.
Apart from brief periods during the mating season, moles don't share tunnels. Each one has his, (or her) own private one.
I suppose it saves the need for passing places.
