sounds like you had an amazing childhood.  must have been great to spend so much time with your family and actually enjoy it!  you said your dad was good with people, even with that in mind some people must still have given you grief, was it just a case of move on in these cases or did any fisty cuffs come about!?

We tried to stay out of trouble as much as possible. We had regular stopping places where the locals knew. us, so it wasn't too bad.

Of course, there was the odd one or two who caused us grief, and it did sometimes come to blows. but we always had to shift afterwards, whatever the outcome.

Poor old Toyota are getting some humpty. I wonder if they will survive?

Surely something like this couldn't sink such a successful global giant.... Could it?

Meh. I would still be happy to buy one.

Toyota's first car, manufactured in 1936.

What a beauty. If I had her, I'd call her Rose.

And another thing...

Large eggs are getting smaller. Now, you have to buy extra large eggs to get eggs that are the same size as large eggs used to be.

Bloody common market hens.

So if extra large eggs are now large eggs, that must mean that medium eggs are now small eggs, but what are small eggs?

They'll survive.  There a lots of manufacturer recalls, just for some reason this one is a major news story.  Maybe it's to do with the number of cars involved.  They're big enough to get over it, and if they'd done it right in the first place...

A story this morning about loads of Hondas in the US being recalled with dodgy airbags.

Whats happened to the double yokers

Wow. It's been so long since I've had one I'd forgotten all about double yokers.

Careful, or before we know it, we'll be back to pleno's thread.

Seriously now on the egg front.

Do you buy supermarket eggs?

We used to but since a friend of my dads has now got some chickens, we get all our eggs from him and the taste is noticeably better, and the colours much more vibrant.
