I heard somewhere (can't remember) that it originated on the streets on Los Angeles.

It was assumed that if you wore trousers that were too big for you, they were a hand-me-down from an older brother, ergo you have an older brother/brothers.

You don't mess with someone if they have trousers around their knees, as that means they have some older brothers somewhere that will back them up.

Then it just evolved into a fashion thing.

I think it came from Red-dog's sagging thing - the trousers were worn without belts by gang members to show solidarity with their brothers who were banged up.

Though it doesn't quite have the same clout when you're wearing them in McDonalds in Lewisham.

That debate started when I took a picture of some bloke's arris on an escalator.  I can't find it now.

According to the programme, you couldn't fit the zeros of a googolplex in the known universe, even if you could draw one on every atom.

No it isn't, (I don't think)

Example. The number 100 would obviously represent 100 atoms, but you could write the zeros on two atoms.
