I have 1.36x the UK average voting power - but three of the least inspirational choices possible. They've also changed the boundaries of my constituency, so that might make a difference or not, maybe.

I don't really get this. I have 0.852 votes which is 3.37 x average. so 1 vote is equal to about 4 x average? is that right? surely 1 vote would be average?

I've seen the site before, I think it's very much working towards it's own agenda and using the statistics to 'prove' that. For example, when people say only a few votes count because the safe seats are sewn up they can use that to amend the averages - so it ignores the fact that all the people who vote in those safe seats for the winning party have got votes that count. I don't think I wrote that well, but does that make sense?

I abs hate that 'the election comes down to less than 100k voters' argument because it's complete bollocks and really flawed/skewed logic even though it sounds good

Although as a mathematician I'm quite impressed, because nothing they'd done is technically incorrect (like a lot of politicians do) - it's just the interpretation they use which give's it the narrative story they want - and because it's all numbers most people think that = proof.
You can analyse different voting systems with numbers but ultimately the strengths and weaknesses of different ways aren't statistical, they're subjective and political - the statistics just gives it a veneer of objectivity
