what kind of work would you normally do on an old bike?
Mainly just freeing - replacing missing/worn out/ siezed bits like wheels, tires, brakes, cables chainrings, derailleurs etc.
not bothered about cosmetics, not my bag.
So really you only need a frame?
I think it would prob work out too expensive if I were to start with a totally stripped frame.
I wouldn't expect all the examples I quoted above to be missing, surely there would be a few bits still attached?
Probably - I guess youy're not interested in my elderly Raleigh? Marketed as a 'Town Bike' - sit up & beg riding position, thin(ish) wheels and un-ridden for ages.
That eagle-cam is on an island my mum loved - sister went to Vancouver Island in 1973 for 'a year, maybe two' and she's still there. The folks visited pretty much every other year amd Mum's ashes are on the beach at Hornby Island. Remarkable to watch the care that the parent takes in feeding the chick.

Nope, ive lost 3 stone*, but you will have to come to DTD one night this week for me to prove it.
Mr James Moult is having another home game, get involved, was really easy going last time, good banter and we had some tasty pizzas, which we all know, is the main drag for both of us.
Mitch.

Seems to be plenty around here Trev. We heard the first one on the 30th of May.
I don't know about you but I can't resist the old superstition of turning the silver coins in my pocket over when I hear the first cuckoo. All the old folk used to do it so I'm keeping the tradition going.
The cuckoo comes in April
He sings his song in May
Then in June, he'll change his tune
In July he'll fly away.

Did you go to Stow this week? It seemed really busy from a local point of view.
Im presuming you did not as I was expecting some photos on the thread.

Alas no, I had to miss it this time.
It was worth it though. I was finally able to exhale after 10 years of holding my breath.
