Oh dear.

What is credit card roulette?

I'm really disappointed that Mondy got himself involved in that. Surprised, too. Grind away day after day Online trying to nick a few bob, then go play a cock-wavers game? Mondy!

sigh, it's a neutral ev game, longterm everyone breaks even, what is there to be disappointed at?

like so many things that give the impression of being balla it's really not

it's not like he's doing all his hard earned on the roulette

Like I say I'd definitely say it's degen but not balla at all.

Yes, maybe I'm wrong there, & maybe you were nearer the truth when you mentioned that oh-so-powerful thing called "peer-pressure". I used to consume alcohol because of peer-pressure, & I'm sure many drug-users had the same excuse. A weird & powerful thing, rather similar, in so many ways, to "Group-Think" (google it), which continues to intrigue & amaze me.

I hope my comment never offended - I consider you a special guy, in so many ways.

Unlucky on bubbling yesterday Tom. I was routing for you. (Should that be rooting)

I'd like to apologise for my celebrations when I sucked out on you with Q9 vs your K8 for that monster pot at 5k/10k by the way.

I don't normally do that sort of thing but emotions were running high and it was great to stick one in your eye Wink

No problem. When you bust, I did the wanker sign behind your back as you left the table.

Cheesy

Thanks for the slowroll for an extra £465 in my back pocket by the way. Brilliant bit of collusion.

It could've been very interesting if my 10 8 had held up. Back up to 50k with a chance of making people fold again could've been the best comeback ever.

Not offended at all.The reason I don't believe I'd succumb to peer pressure is due to the fact I've been in a similar situation multiple times with regards to drugs and never been tempted to get involved as I've always been of the thought that if people aren't going to like me because I wont join them in what there doing then there quite clearly not a freind I'd need to worry about losing. To save more soppyness I'll just say thanks for you last comment Smiley

Yes you are.

Credit card roulette is just a bit of fun. It's nothing to do with "cock waving" as you so eloquently put it.

A few people go out for a few drinks or a meal or whatever. They are friends and they have decided that rather than splitting the bill one of them will pay. To decide who's turn it is they all give a card to the waitress and let her choose one at random. That card pays. Simple.

I've played myself a few times. It's not about proving how much money you've got or being 'balla'. It's just a form of gambling in which one person loses and everyone else wins. As Gatso says it's a long term neutral EV game anyway. Much better than everyone going to the casino and doing their bollocks on -EV house games.

To be honest I find the game of credit card roulette rather compelling.

No no Tom, you've got it all wrong.

Final Table bubblers are supposed to whine & whinge, wish death upon Lederer, spit dummies out like kids in nappies, and rage "I hate poker".

You just don't get it, do you?

Jeez, defeat in dignity barely registers on folks radar these days.

Well done you, you are an inspiration to losers. If you get my drift.

Agree entirely, if a person wishes to enter a pot with good or bad cards, they have made that decision, win or lose. I cannot abide bad losers.  However, I should eat my words, I have reacted once to a bad loss and that was when I had too much wine late at night (online) and I rarely drink - so that has taught me a lesson. I felt really bad the next day!

Well done yesterday Tom I was really routing (rooting) for you!

Neutral EV my ass

When one knows one is definately paying for a meal oneself, one doesn't order the biggest fuck off steak on the menu, side dishes one is hardly going to touch and fancy-ass cocktails to wash it all down with - all just to increase one's flip equity. One orders from the '2 mains for £8' menu and has a diet coca-cola with free refill.

Depending on how many one is dining with and employing similar tactics, one can cost oneself well in excess of £50 in EV by flipping for the cheque.

One has a better dining experience though obv. This might offset the £50 in cash EV that one lost but the dissaproval all this will get one from tikay off the telly make the whole thing slightly -EV for one.
