Tom, if you were staked (or partially staked), will you play the WSOP main event?

I've typed out 6 different replies so far Keith, none of which I'm happy with. Do you mind if a take a little time before I answer?

BTW- I'm very touched and somewhat embarrassed that people have already offered to buy a bit of me.

In for a wee percentage, before someone says 'the rest'.

Right, That's it. No rest for the wicked.

have to take Mrs Red's car for a re-test. It failed it's MOT on a split CV joint gaiter. The gaiter only cost £11 but I couldn't fit it myself because you need a special tool to remove the front hub. Had to pay £68 to get it fitted.

I wouldn't mind, but the split in the gaiter was no bigger than a gnat's chuff. he must have had eyes like a shit house rat to see it in the first place.

Also have to empty my bins today. They're bloody heavy lately. I'm sure the girls are putting bricks in them.

No Tom, the 5pm start puts me off.

It won't finish until 5am.

VERY well done Tom, over a stone in about a month, that's proper dieting & discipline.

It's sod's law I'll blip back into the 14's tomorrow, but it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

I feel a little guilty about this.

I happened to mention on my Diary that a very good friend of long-standing, with whom I'd shared many happy poker & travel experiences, offered to swap 20% with me if I played the WSOP, as he'd never played it either, & would like to. That Gent was NOT Tom, though.

Obv, Tom's view would weigh heavily on any decision I make, I run a lot of my dilemmas & decision past him, but the last time we discussed it, Tom had no plans to do this year's WSOP. Which will not affect my decision one iota, though if he did play it, & Methuselah too, then that'd be quite something.

We chatted a day or two ago about another, quite serious matter, & Tom, who'd been talking 15 to the dozen for 90 minutes without taking breath, ended "I'm not saying a word, I'm biting my tongue". Mrs Red is the same, goes on for hours without taking breath, then ends "but I'm saying nothing, you do as you like".

I met a guy yesterday, Tom would adore him, the guy was a proper Yorkshireman, from Elsacott (sp?) near Barnsley. He's an Online Pro, plays 12 & 14 Tables on Sky Poker 7 days per week, & makes a very good living. Very quiet, rarely says a word on poker forums, the original "GIQ" man.

He lives in his own little place, has a wife, a greyhound, & 4 ferrets! I asked him about his ferrets, & in a flash, out came the smartphone, & there was a "family album" of the dog & ferrets, & also his previous dog, which died. About 400 photos! It's lovely to meet "real people".

Great effort with the diet Tom, well done. I've been on two meals a day this week with no snacks in between and it's been ok.

Precisely.

It will go up & down, but so long as you eat properly, the trend will continue south.

I'm utterly convinced that the "daily weigh" system is the best, but it is important to interpret it correctly.

The "daily weigh" works less well with women though as their weight can and does naturally fluctuate
