Tom got mine too.
Anyone else ever had a triple-triple bingo at Scrabble?
yes. Stencils (using an l on the square before the second triple word) for 158 points.

When Mrs Red and the girls are away and I'm fending for myself I always leave the washing up until there is a sink full before I do it.
This time I decided to try the wash-as-you-go method, but I have to admit, I'm not a fan. It takes almost as long to do a few items as it does to do a shed load.
I should have been a time and motion man. (Do they still have those?) Any task that I have to perform more than once, I have to try to work out if there is a better, more efficient way of doing it. (No smut please).
Even simple things like cooking breakfast can benefit from a bit of time and motion study. Mrs Red just cooks it, but I have to work out the right order to cook it in.
Eggs on toast - First, put pan on gas to start heating, and then put the toast into the toaster.
Next dry fry a thin slice of pre cooked ham in the pan as it warms. (not many calories, makes the whole thing taste miles better) At the same time, warm a plate of the other gas ring. Meanwhile, get the eggs and a spatula out of the cupboard.
Transfer the ham from the hot pan to the hot plate, and put in the eggs. Allow them to fry until the toast pops up.
At this point we turn the eggs over easy and put the toast on to the hot plate with the ham. then top with the eggs and voila, eggs on toast a la Red, no time wasted, everything hot.
Don't get me started on mowing the lawn.

The new Dell Inspiron, with "Switchable lid"
WTF!!!
Does anyone actually care? Would you bother to keep a collection of spare lids handy just on case you had a sudden urge to change the colour of the top of you lappy?

One of my favourites is
門 (9).
Don't even try to get it, but it makes me giggle every time
clue: 門 are notations for flags in another language and the answer is a region of the earth.
That's a ridiculous clue. That character is the Chinese character for 'gate', how the hell is it meant to represent Polynesia??

Just caught a bit of John Wayne movie...
I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.

Are you using some kind of metal plate that you heat on the gas-stove?

Just put any china plate directly on to the gas. It will warm quickly and be OK right up to burn your fingers heat.
Caution: Never put cold liquid on to a really hot plate.

Since I've been abandoned, I've had soup 3 times. I haven't taken the empty cans out to the bin yet, but I've arranged then artistically in a pyramid design.
Already they are beginning to feel like a collection. I'm reluctant to part with them.
I will be having soup for lunch today, so I will have to decide on a new arrangement.
PS- If Mrs Red reads this, I'm only kidding.

Do we have any collectors on blonde?
Do you have / did you use to have a collection?
I know that Tony collects books, Tighty collects pictures of football stadia, and G2L collects bad beat stories, but what about the rest of you?
