How many prime rib dinners have you demolished so far?
My God Ralph. I must have gained a stone already.
It's impossible to eat healthily here, or to get small portions. Yesterday I fancied something simple so I ordered steak & eggs. When it came it was bloody enormous, and included not only eggs, but a great pile of hash-browns and hot buttered toast with two kinds of jelly etc.
I know I could leave some, but it seems so rude...
Surely you had a "short stack" for desert.

So its like 5am here and I'm at a very drunk / touristy type 1/2 table.
Its limped in about 7 spots to me in the bb, I make it $20 with AKos it's folded to the sb, who calls.
I can't remember the exact flop, but its all raggy. We both check. Turn, check cbeck.
On the river he announces that he is going to bet, but as he does, he looks at his cards and exposes them to me. He has Q high.
I tell him to be careful because I've seen his hand.
He tells me that he has also seen my hand, and I say "No really, I've seen your hand, you have Q3 and I have you beat".
He bets $100, (and this is where I think I did the wrong thing), I rr $100 more.
He called and paid up with a smile.
LOL.
How's Mrs Red finding it over there?
She's a bit gobsmacked to be honest, but then she is a girl of simple tastes. For the first 35 years of her life her idea of opulence was an 18ft caravan with two gas mantles.
Even now she thinks that it's the hight of decadence to have a fish each with our chips rather than share one between us.
Imagine her reaction to Ceaser's Palace or the Wynn.
We had a very long day yesterday trying to track down a data card for my phone and sightseeing on the strip. She saw a dress that she liked and I bad to talk like a Philadelphia lawyer to persuade her to have it.
We went back to the hotel for dinner, but
ended up eating in MacDonalds
.
Then we strolled around Freemont St and watched the street performers, she loved it. A rock/punk band, "The Nancy Ray Guns" were playing and everyone, including me, was bopping around bustin moves. Rock on!!
We went to bed around 1am. I got up again at about 4am, dropped $100 or so playing $1/2 then went back to bed and slept like the dead.
It was fabulous.
Ridic how much nicer the McD's over there is compared to here, guess it's a good thing really, but still. Enjoy.

All the blonde Vegas visitors seem to make a list of things they want to write about when they have the time, here's mine so far.
Excess.

Loving the write ups so far Tom and all the updates help ease the pain of having left a little!!
I stayed at the Nugget for four days this year while i was playing the 2 downtown $1ks and I loved it too. Nice not having to travel for 3 miles to get to another part of the casino and I like how everything is more relaxed too.
Best of luck for the rest of the trip and I look forward to following your reports

Managed to watch it, took a while as my connection is p*** poor. Looking good, never mind flying up there, get the car and do a round trip or you'll miss way too much.

I must defend Tom here, that's a little unfair. He DID say (off camera) that he missed Kizzy very much.

Tom,
Talk me through the data card pls. Was your phone unlocked? Where did you get it/what $$/how much data/did you sign anything long term?
I only had a brief search out there, but ended up using 2 phones, a US disposable phone and my UK phone on wifi only.

Do you mean Kizzy, the poor defenceless little dog that they left me to look after? I do hope nobody accidently treads on her head or something...........
