South Luangwa Park Zambia. These birds came and perched on the same branch every night.

That's a great pic, did you take it?

Yup.

They look like bee eaters.

I never saw a wild thing
sorry for itself.
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough
without ever having felt sorry for itself.

D H Lawrence

That was quoted in a film a few years ago.

One pie point for anybody who can name the film.

Gatso doesn't count because he'll just google it like he always does to try to make out he knows stuff.

GI Jane?

Just pips Mulhuzz at the post.

One pie point heading your way Tom.

As the first ever winner of a pie point you are currently top of the leaderboard.

Seeing as I'm bored of the pie point thing already you're likely to remain there forever.

Congratulations.

fml. had GI Jane originally and then edited because I thought I'd gotten the toy and the film confused.

Kizzy and I found a really nice teasel plant while we were out today, so we brought it home on the bike. (And yes, I know it's dead).

Teasel is a biennial, that means it  only lives for two years, during which time it flowers and produces seed for the next generation.

We're going to give this one a new lease of life.

BTW- Anyone know what teasel used to be used for (No googling)
