Kizzy and I found a really nice teasel plant while we were out today, so we brought it home on the bike. (And yes, I know it's dead).

Teasel is a biennial, that means it  only lives for two years, during which time it flowers and produces seed for the next generation.

We're going to give this one a new lease of life.

BTW- Anyone know what teasel used to be used for (No googling)

Teasel - used to be used for something to do with catching Jays?

Does Kizzy sit happily in that basket as you ride along?

Is she tied in at all or is she just dead good?

She's just dead good.

She loves going in there because I always park the bike up somewhere and go for a walk.

Correct Rod, but this time I'm just going to use them to attract finches.

I don't have a call-bird now though, so I might have a bit of a palaver getting them started.

Have you thought of getting one for Ronnie? I think you'd perhaps need a Harley with a settee strapped on the back.

Bugger - I said "Jays", I obv meant finches. The two species are, of course, near identical.
