Posh people are masters at self control, so much so that they are able to refrain from dunking a hob-nob into a cup of tea, even when alone.

So here I am in Brussels. Took all day to get here by car, plane, train, metro & foot.
Staying in a fairly average hotel. I'm not paying but I caught a glimpse of the invoice. 255 euros a night. Wifi 19e extra. ( I declined ).
Wish they had given me the money and let me find my own hotel.
Just walked over the road for a bag of chips. They put mayo AND ketchup on, without asking!
I miss home.

Some really fantastic pubs over there Red, seriously even if you're not much of a drinker the specialty beers need to be experienced where every different beer has it's own glass & the beer. Chocolates fairly good IIRC as well.
Have fun over there Red!

There is a central heating grille in my room. The settings are:
On- Blows hot air on me and makes a noise.
Off- Blows cold air on me and makes a noise.

For €235 per night I would be complaining and asking for a room-change.

Surely you have something more interesting to tell us about Brussels than just moaning about the noise of the heating and the price of the pop? Starting to worry about you, you miserable old fart. xxxx

Just squat little concrete buildings sprouting everywhere.

They have a famous fountain in a square in the centre of Brussels with a statue of a boy peeing into the water.
The world-renowned "mannequin pis", that should take your mind off the sprouts and the mayo.
And you really should sample a couple of their beers too.
