I just overheard someone say "My God, the weather is horrible".
They were in a cave with the past couple of weeks doing heavy drugs.
I think they were just talking about today's weather.

See now one of us is completely whooshed here.
I saw it as ironic that we've had a few days on excetionally hot weather, and as soon as it returns to just pleasent March weather, someone says it's 'Horrible'.
If they had been in a cave, thay wouldn't have known what the weather was like, ergo, no irony.
What was your take?.
NB- No using silly girl-type nonsense logic.

The only logical excuse for their ridic statement would be heavy drug use over the past couple of weeks - because we've had gorgeous weather.

I used a public loo yesterday and, as is my wont, tried to wash my hands afterwards.
The handbasin had one of those taps with a push-button on the top. The trouble was, every time you let go of the button, the flow of water stopped immediately.
I have devised 3 solutions. None of which are perfect.
1: Fashion makeshift plug from wet toilet paper and fill sink with water.
Cons - Paper disintegrates and sticks to hands creating the impression you have a skin-disease, a la The Singing Detective.
2: Wash one hand at a time while holding button with other hand.
Cons - You can only wash the fronts of your hands, which causes a health hazard if you later balance peanuts on the back of your hand before flipping them in to your mouth.
3: Operate button with foot, thereby allowing both hands to be washed at same time.
Cons - Have to lift leg to shoulder hight, a position which is both unstable and undignified. (Although perhaps not without merit in the ladies loos)
I've been in loads of loos with this type of tap, and I'm becoming convinced that the people who try to use them are being secretly filmed, either as an aptitude test to decide who is fit to re populate the Earth and so gets a place in the nuclear fallout shelter, or for a marathon edition of 'You've Been Framed'.
I see a lot of public loos, hmm let me rephrase that, sounds slightly odd.
I'd say half the outside, i.e. not in a business, public loos that I've used I honestly think that it would be more hygenic to not use their sink/taps in an attempt to clean your hands.
Hands up if 95% of the time you also use the pull down sleeve to open the door when you leave.
And those public loos that think having a bar of soap for the visitors is a good idea! Madness.
Automatic taps and soap dispensers are the only sensible solution.
Don't get me started on stupid Dyson Air Blade hand dryers.

Yes I use the 'pulled down' sleeve or the 'grab a part of the handle that doesn't get used' method
I rarely use hand dryers, I'm far to impatient and my hands dry just as quickly on there own anyway.
I do however make an exception for Dyson Air Blades, I think they're great. (I hate his big, silly, cumbersome vacuum cleaners though).

This is where our view part ways.
There is no way that an air blade dries hands in a single pass so you have to be ramming your hands up and down like a maniac. And you're mostly likely to have your hands rub up against the panels the air comes from transferring germs across. Also have you see the gunk than accumulates in the botom of an air blade? Yuck.
However the Dyson Cyclone vacs are fantastic, the same amount of suck whether you've just emptied the dust (with a pull of a level) or if the dust collected for 90% full.

air blades are pretty terrible even though they appear cool. there's another company that's now brought out the same thing though, can't remember their name but wagamama are using them in all new restaurants, that does dry you properly in one pass

I love the air blowers at G Casinos, the ones that nearly rip the skin from your hands they're so powerful. They soon dry your hands.

Down and up works
If it doesn't for you then in order of likelihood I expect:
1. You do it too quick
2. It's faulty
3. You're half man half sponge

Not if his bottom was made from sponge. Then he'd have wet pants.

Come to think of it, if he had one sponge hand he could use his real hand to wring it out.
