So having been made redundant at the end of April, I have dusted off my entrepreneurial streak and come over all Arfur Dailyesque







So if you, or anyone you know is selling anything that I might earn a crust from, please let me know.

Trev told me about the birds he has over his way yesterday, all sorts of lovelies including a green woodpecker which i saw once but never got the chance to get a pic. Will certainly be heading over his one time! #excited

Red, if you start dealing in human trafficing then I might be able to throw some work your way, wife is uber annoying at the moment.

I was searching for details of Penicuik which is the area in which I do most of my walking.

Penicuik  (Pronounced Pennycook) is derived from the Gaelic Pen - Y-Coq (Hill of the cuckoo)

It got me to thinking that last year I had an overnight trip in the area with 2 of my sons and my grandson. We camped on the side of a hill close to Penicuik and all night we could hear the calls of a couple of cuckoos.

Weather doesn't look too bad for Saturday so I may take a wee wander and try and get at least a recording.

Swallows been here in Norwell two or three weeks, no swifts yet and not heard a cuckoo. They'll be here soon. Golf course normally attracts a few each year
