That's a really enjoyable digital clip.
I hope you have plans to do a lot more - don't know if it's true but you might be of the last generation that could story tell the traditions closely and authentically enough to get this into more modern media this effectively

I've had several PM's along these lines Glen.
I'm actually involved in several projects aimed at recording and preserving Gypsy heritage and culture.
It's quite difficult sometimes because our previous generations were illiterate so there is nothing written down.
I do have one thing in my favour though. Being a community member means I can interview the old folk and they will talk to me openly, without suspicion.

I bet you can't sharpen a shovel with it, or use it to fetch a bag of coal.
Nice to hear from you Rod. How are you keeping? (Long version please.)
Id imagine it'd be no to both, although I suppose you could use it like a handheld power file for the shovel.... does a cracking job on axes/tomahawks/scissors though.
I'm doing good, had a health scare (that lasted about a year until I saw sense), pancreas troubles - basically the pancreas wimped out and can't handle the drink, so I'm now tee-total. Been off the drink since Feb & am feeling the benefits, still fat & bald though.
Doing the mid-life crisis thing, tattoos, younger girlfriend (not even thin brag) & thinking of doing my motorbike test...
Life's good though, walking more, doing a bit of the Ray Mears style bushcraft stuff (a neighbour's kids are right into it & I quite enjoy getting dragged into firelighting, knife/axe sharpening, whittling etc). Still doing the food smoking/BBQ got an electric smoker a while back and enjoying the experimentation. Saw Celtic (Vinny) at a Celtic game recently, think the girls with him will still be giggling at the antics of the nutjobs I'm friendly with... a drinking club with a football problem I call them.
Pokerwise - I'm only playing pub poker and the occasional APAT, enjoying it but not tempted to play more tbh.

Great life report. Young girl, motorbike, bushcraft.... I'm impressed by everything, except maybe the tattoos. I'm withholding judgement on those until I get to see design and location.

Aye, doing it right.
2 tattoos, inside forearms.
Right arm (drinking arm) an ambigram, reads torture one way up, alcohol the other - wee reminder to myself.
Left arm another ambigram, my 2 favourite teams, The Celts & St Pauli:

As with all tattoos though - so long as the wearer's happy....

Cool. (Although I don't understand the first one.)
I'm going to keep my eye open for tattoo designs for other blondes.

Bird photos? Leave it to me, I'm on the case.
PS - Good news for detractors of my photos. My car got broken into on Monday, & they nicked my beloved camera, amongst other things.
Groan.
Broken in to? Come on tell them the truth........
Or has it been done again?
Ha, busted!
Well let us call it "unauthorised entry".
Truth is, there was no sign of forced entry, so it sort of suggests I left it unlocked, something I never ever do. I believe it auto-locks itself, too, if left unlocked.
I mean, what are you suggesting - that I FORGOT to lock it?
Think about it Matt, would that really be in character, for me to forget? Impossible.
Case resteded.
there are numerous security flaws in modern bmws that have become known to thieves and now on the internet. i haven't bothered to keep up not owning one. you may need this doing? i think it stops people from opening your windows with a screwdriver.

this thread is no doubt too long to go through, maybe start near the end or find cliffs on a bmw forum
