For those of you with a scientific mind and an educated palette, my water boiling experiments are now complete.

Our worst performing kettle has a min capacity of 0.9ltr and boils in 92 seconds.

Our best performing kettle has a min capacity of 0.8 ltr, (but seems happy with 0.5ltr so I suspect there is 0.3ltr of redundancy) and boils in 55 seconds.

How many kettles does a household need?

Don't you have anything else to papier-mache? Keep you out of kettling dilemnas?

Simple question, complicated answer.

Will reply properly when thoughts are marshalled and time permits.

My Granddaughter said "Grandad, why are you paper macheing your car?"

Crap! I knew it looked wrong, but I thought it was because I'd put 'ing' on the end.

I could have been pedded then. (Or have I been subtly pedded now?)

Papier-mâché is correct

I wasn't making a point though.

Papier-mâché is French for "chewed paper"

Jeez, Rich, don't start him off again.

Cue another 27 pages of kettle talk.

I prefer a slow boiling kettle. I enjoy waiting for the kettle, I find it very relaxing.

Why is everybody in such a rush?
