Posting pictures as attachments is the easiest way, but you can only use one per post, which is a proper pain.

Blimey! That sentence is almost as bad as Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.

Have you thought of concealing them in longer trysers?

Those are my long trysers. (Well, slecks actually). I just rolled em up so that everyone could admire the juxtaposition.

This morning Sadie cajoled me into taking her to the garage with a car related problem before my eyes were open.

Then I had to chase around fishing tackle shops in pursuit of racing maggots.

Then when I got home, an old acquaintance, (famed for chatting until he's eaten and drank everything available) came to see me.

Then my nephew Dan and and his family dropped in for a chat.

Then I moved a marquee for the fete committee.

Then I collected some pot plants from the cake-baking lady. She presented me with a dozen lemon slices which lasted precisely 24.5 seconds after I opened the cake tin at home. (The 0.5 of a second was due to someone dropping theirs).

Then Mrs Red cooked my tea (Steak, eggs, mushrooms & little fried taters, yum).

So busy, I forgot to take a pic of anything for my diary.

Then, our new baby arrived.....

Dilemma.

Today is the day of our village fete and l'm booked to host the maggot racing.

I have made day 2 of the £250 DS @ DTD.

What would Jebus do?

What would Ali Malu do?

What should I do?

Hi Red, never met before but like dipping in and out of your diary every now and then, like to help with this one if a I can, Big dilemma this Red, you cant let the kiddies (I presume the kids r doing the maggot racing?) down. Then again why would u have entered a tournament knowing u had plans if u made the second day? Frasier Crane would probably say that sub concisely u do or never did wanted to host the maggot race. But what to do..............mmmm............15 minutes later.........

Easy, top three in the maggot comp get a share of u in the poker tournament (this is for losing out on getting an entertaining host). Your replacement (who u have to get) also gets a large drink when u TID later on today (yet again presuming there is no day three)

There is also the question of timing, like does the maggot race start at 12 but the comp at 2?

Good luck with whatever u choose to do.

Don't think there is much of a dilemma.   Play day 2 right now, organise your diary better in future.  Ring round and find a sub for the maggot racing.  If you can't get a sub, I wouldn't feel too guilty, nobody else does.

Offer the sub the share of the poker prize money, not the kids.  I change imagine the maggot racing raises massive amounts, so you can cover that if no sub is found.  You could always sell a share to cover that too if you have spent your float on the comp.

I don't know, kids are resilient, if any kid feels there day is spoiled through the lack of a maggot race they have issues.  They'll always have fun on a nice day with lots of other kids around to play with, surely?

Well the truth is I had already arranged for Mrs Red to stand in for me if I made day two, but I lied to the fete committee about my reasons for not doing it myself, (what are the chances of them understanding if I say I'm playing poker instead?) but now I feel guilty.

Get yourself to dtd and don't worry about the do gooders on the fete committee. 30% of the field get an £1100 seat today. Tell them you are going to be famous and on TV.

You bet your ass it's not a level. I've been owner, head trainer and course manager for the last 3 years.

Probably host a blonde version of the day and give everyone the option of bringing their own maggot.
