Definitely more info and pictures please, at least give us a name. I am somewhat surprised that you would buy a dog, I would have had you down as a man with so many connections that you would just be given them.

It's funny you should say that....

The man that bought her originally would have given her to me eventually, but I made the mistake of ribbing him for paying £850 for a puppy he would soon lose interest in. He laughed and said, "That's OK. One day you'll give me a grand for her".

Cheesy Fair play to you for admitting it.

My suffering isn't over. You have no idea how many times he will tell this story.

Do we know this man by any chance?

I did introduce him once, in a story that rambles over several pages.

I think it was just before your time Skip.

What is Kizzy's view, & reaction, to all this?

Did you worry it would be a problem? Did you do a "trial meet-up" to gauge reaction?

Is Kizzy now the equivelant of a mole in Chez Red, & in need of my protection & lobbying?

Kizzy is asleep on my foot as I write.

In her mind she is an important member of the family and the newcomer is just a pet dog that is so far below her status as to be no threat what so ever.

Good.

Do they interact, if so, how?

No jealousy when you are bonding with Poppy?

You paid £1000 for a dog?

She looks absolutely gorgeous and I have no doubts about your assessment of her, but that seems a lot of money.

Do show us her progress as she becomes art of the Red household please.

Absolutely no jealousy at all.

When I interact with Poppy, Kizzy behaves just as she would if I was interacting with one of the horses. It's no threat & no big deal.

Poppy on the other hand does try to get Kizzy to play. Kizzy just looks at me, rolls her eyes and carries on about her business.

£950. (I got a bullseye back for luck).

Average lifespan is 15 years, so £63 pa isn't so bad.

Also. I know someone who has the most amazing entire toy poodle, I might try to arrange for him and Poppy to produce a litter of F1b pups.

Really good f1b's go for around £850 - £900. The profit margin isn't very big when you take stud fees, feeding, worming, vaccinating, insurance and all the other costs into consideration. Add on all the time you have to put in and it's probably -EV, but it's hugely rewarding in other ways if you like that sort of thing.

Motorcycle news.

My brother John had become interested in doing the European adventure and has bought himself a 125 Yammy.

Like me and Rod, he is starting at the very beginning so will be doing his CBT sometime soon.

He says he fancies Switzerland for an initial trip, which sounds OK to me. I've always wanted to ride over an alp.

Poker news now.

I stopped being a winning online player somewhere around 2012. Since then I've breakeven / lose a little rec at best.

Lately I've been playing and enjoying bounty-hunter type MTT's. The trouble is I'm not really sure about where to draw the line with regard to risking chips to win a bounty at the possible cost of a good cash finish in the comp.

Does this post make sense?

If it's not an invasive or impertinent question Tom (just ignore if it is) was that you that had a decent cash (Top 20) in last night BH Main Event next door?

Yes. Only a £33 buy-in but there were several situations when we were in the money when I called with any two risking 30/40% of my stack to win a £20/£30 bounty.

Obv if I win I get the bounty and increase my chances of winning the comp, if I lose I only lose the chips.

Ooh, well done.

There is quite an art to those BH things, & one or two lads in particular (who are also on blonde) seem able to farm them. I'll get one of them to reply, or PM you.

Sounds a bit like something a certain Mr Hotpot might have said.
