What a fabulous picture that is!!

This is Martha fetching the ball for my Grandson. She actually belongs to my Mother in Law but I get to take her for walks.

She would chase a ball all day if I let her.

Have you ever tried restraining her and throwing the ball into the long grass so that she can 'hunt it up'? Once she get's the idea you can start 'planting' things for her to find without her having to see them thrown. It's a great game for both man and dog.

Have you ever tried restraining her and throwing the ball into the long grass so that she can 'hunt it up'? Once she get's the idea you can start 'planting' things for her to find without her having to see them thrown. It's a great game for both man and dog.

She is over keen to start the chase before I throw at the moment but that means she often has to search for the ball. She appears to enjoy that just as much as a simple retrieve.

I can keep her in place when I throw her a treat, but not the ball. Yet.

Good afternoon Tom, I have just been to a rather lovely place called Oakwell Hall where I was charged £1.80 for a cup of tea that consisted of a cup of hot water in a cardboard cup with a tea bag dropped in after the water and handed to me. So I even had to make the tea myself.

I saw a sketch by Dave Gorman about how posh coffee had killed off the art of tea making and this reminded me of that rather humorous piece.

As a tea man could you please advise on the best course of action when faced with a cup of hot water a 5 inch long brown stick and a tea bag for £1.*******.80 pence.

New dog looks lovely Tom. One of Ronnie's best mates is a cockerpoo and I agree they really are great all rounders.

I've got a great picture of Ronnie following some digging / burying last summer that you might like. You know they old bury it...... look at you for a bit..... dig it up...... bury it..... look at you for a bit..... dig it up...... repeat several times thing? Well he spent a good hour doing that and the results were quite impressive.

I'll see if I can dig it out. (pun quite obviously intended)

You would think that selling tea is something that you make sure you do well given how much money shops make from tea wouldn't you?

 
On the other hand went in Pret today and was given a free cup of coffee as they had made the incorrect drink for the guy in front of me. I don't really drink white coffee but took it anyway (waste not want not and all that). It wasn't very nice but just the gesture of being helpful and apologetic to the guy for making the wrong drink and then just asking if I wanted it for nothing makes such a better impression than being given a cup of water and a stick to make your own tea.
