Welcome back Red.
Loving the anecdotes.
I recently worked in America for 3 weeks and had the use of a couple of hire cars, I never actually had any issues driving there. It was when I came home I had the issue. As I approached a small traffic island I totally forgot which way round the island I should drive much to the horror of my wife.

I'll tell you what gets me when I drive in America, those traffic lights on strings above the road. No end of times I've pulled up to one and realised that it's at the far side of the intersection which I have just crossed on red.
Also, I can't make my mind up whether several lanes of traffic with no designated overtaking lanes are a good or a bad idea.
Quick quiz, No googling.
Which film did the phrase "blue, blue meanies on wheels" come from?

Totally understand about the traffic lights. I did the same over and over again.
Not sure I understand the non-designated overtaking lane. Pretty sure the law in the States is the same as the UK wrt pulling over once you complete your manoeuvre it's just that no dodgy obeys it.
No idea about the movie quote.

Some like it cold.
Beef stew.
Toast.
Bacon and egg sandwiches.
Chinese takeaway.
Baked beans.
KFC.
Am I a weirdo?
Yes you are. Every thing on that list has to be as hot as can be.
Good to have you back and with a bang. Those doggy piccies are superb.
Bloody Hell Kev, here I am trying to keep the old place tidy and you come steaming in and bugger up the quoting.
Don't you like any hot stuff cold?
I've just remembered rice pudding and breast of mutton.
The only things that were hot and I can eat cold are meats. Anything else just no way.
On an other topic Eurovision.
I am enduring Eurovision for the first time since the 80's because Joo wants to watch it. Some local lad in it from up the road. Don't get me wrong hope it goes well for the lads but only seen 2 songs and it's already hard work. FML.
Joe and Jake are on next.

Eurovision. The last time I watched it was when some Irish bloke won it singing What's another year. I think his name was Ray Langdon.
Who comperes it now that old Woebegone has shuffled off the mortal?

And dressing gowns. I can't work out what they're for.
Does anyone in real life, (Except women) actually own a dressing gown? I mean, what's the point? If you want to get dressed, get dressed. If you don't, don't.
What do you wear between bed and the shower?
Nothing, or, if modesty dictates, my trousers.
If I'm changing my trousers I go in wearing the old ones and come out wearing the new/clean ones.
Dressing gowns are OK for people of a certain station in life, but just you try walking in to Attercliffe slipper baths looking like Zap Brannagan and see what happens.

I think attack of the blue Meanies was a computer game in my youth. No idea where it came from though.
Edit. It was blue meanies from outer space for the vic20. Google is wonderful Games have hardly moved on since those days no doubt. I would do a link to prove this, but I am incapable on this phone.

I love the Simpsons but I think Futurama has so much more scope. I love the time travel paradoxes (is that the plural of paradox?) and the cast is so strong.
