Thanks for the link. I'll have a look and report back.

Have you watched Braking Bad yet? Episode 1 is all I ask.

It's such a surprise when I notice that someone has posted on here. I jump like a hermit when someone taps on his window.

Tom,

Do you remember dear old Jack Hargreaves, in that TV thing "Out of Town"?

I think I stumbled across the modern day equivalent the other day.

It featured a scruffy, unshaven guy in his garden workshop, hair unruly, just talking one on one to the camera, as he completed a task, no background music, no sexy Production values, just a bloke in a shed with some tools.

Not sure I can recall a more relaxing & enjoyable little TV Show in years. It's nerdy - very nerdy - but I think you'll enjoy one episode in particular.

Course, if you have already seen it, I've just wasted 20 minutes. But this thread seems largely populated by Nerds, so I'm sure someone will watch, & thoroughly enjoy.

More follows.

Wasn't he on HOW with Fred Dinage too? Loved HOW. Do any of you remember it?

Nope, I'm too young to remember that.

No, not watched it.

Feels a bit harsh, Tom. You know I only watch quality stuff aimed at grown ups.

How about I read the Wiki page, would that do?

I'm on holiday on the Catalonian coast. The weather is scorching hot (thin) and as you can imagine, there is a lot of naked flesh on show.

I did a rough survey of 100 people in bathing costumes and 79 of them had at least one tattoo in a place where I could see it. (bear in mind that I must have missed a few that were hidden by bra's, pants, and the side if the body that was facing away from me). Also, I've noticed a few people with tattoos on their shaven head which will obviously become invisible when the hair grows back.

Conclusion: Over 80% of people have at least one tattoo.

Is that a fair assumption though? Is that figure limited to Brits, or, more specifically in this instance, Brits from North of Scotch Corner who take package holidays to Spain?

I should say at this point that I have nothing against tattoos per se, except perhaps the 'Cut Here' on necks, the tear drops on cheeks and the 'Celtic Football Club For Ever' on the admittedly spacious foreheads.

What really puzzles me though are the blocks of small text that seem to be gaining in popularity. I mean, are we, the casual observer, meant to read them?
Surely we are. They can't be intended solely for those few who are on intimate terms with the tatooee, I mean, they must know the story already.

So this bloke at our hotel has a great swadge of writing on his back in the space below his left shoulder blade and his hip. I've been trying to read it for the last two days, the trouble is, the text is very small so I have to get really close.

The queue for the rooftop bar and pool is a good place because although I have to time it so that I end up standing behind him, I have a great excuse to stand close while he has his shirt off.

There are disadvantages though. For instance, I don't like having to put my reading glasses on and bend over into a position that brings my nose closer to his bum.

I'm about two thirds through the whole thing now, but I've been thwarted by a roll of fat towards the end of the second paragraph that causes some words to dissappear into a fold.

I'm going home tomorrow, so any ideas about how I can stand behind him and make him lean to the right would be appreciated.

PS- I don't want to get political on his ass.

Nice story, Tom. Plenty of room for imagination there.

Just shout "Corbyn is the new Prime Minister". That should do it.

Haha, can just picture you trying to sneak up on the bloke and read him  Cheesy
He would prob be more than happy to let you have a good look if you ask, most people i have asked about various tattoos are more than happy to explain them.
Oh BTW i remember HOW, and i'm younger than you and Tikay  Smiley
