We booked with Ryanair. When we tried to check in online the website wouldn't accept our details so we went on live chat.

Muhammed told us that he would put a note on the system saying that we would be checked in at the airport for free.

At Birmingham we were indeed checked in for free.

What about the return flight?

"Oh don't worry" said the bloke on the desk, "I've put a note on the system".

When we went to the desk for our return flight there was no note on the system.

"€50 each please, thank you".

We will of course still be happy to take advantage of Ryanair's ridiculously low prices in the future.

Lessons have been learned.
