Experiments in growing old disgracefully - I'm getting too old for a moshpit. Sore this morning after taking 2 (accidental) headbutts & jumping about like I was nearly 25 instead of nearly 50... Co-codamol was the only thing getting me to sleep last night when I got back from Glasgow.
WTF is a moshpit?

At a metal (or punk) concert a group usually a few rows back from centre stage will begin to jump about violently, those round about push those knocked to the side back in, at speed - end result chaos.
It's all good natured though, if someone hits the floor everyone picks them up
Although it can get really silly....
Injury count, headbutts to cheek and jaw, twisted ankle and multiple bruises, great night though

Instead of picking a fight, that looks like a better way for young blokes with too much testosterone coursing through their veins to release some energy.
Although although a reason for you to be involved eludes me.

I got into my first ever mosh pit watching Flogging Molly at Leeds Festival when I was 50.
That was my first such festival but most definitely not my last.

They're a good band. Not quite 50 yet so there's hope for me. Mind you Springsteen was 70 yesterday and he looks younger than me 😡

Do try Erics if you have not done so far....
http://www.ericsfishandchips.com/
Went to Norfolk for the day Sunday
Parked at Holkham, walked along beach to Wells then back through the woods
Had Sunday Lunch at "The Duck at Stanhoe". Quality meal that was
I tried the new Eric's when in St Ives the other day. I was looking forward to it as decent fish and chips are hard to find round here. I could see that it was a nice piece of fish, but the batter and chips left me a bit cold. I was expecting the beef dripping to give the chips some flavour, but they were a bit bland. I might try again and eat in, but not sure they'll get any more chances given the prices they charge.
Going off on a tangent, I saw that one of the fisherman's wife shops was one of the finalists in a national comp. I know lil dave had a stake in one or some of that chain for a while, but think he sold up. I have never eaten there, so couldn't tell you how good they are.

Me either. I loved spitting image. I wonder if they will bring any of the old puppets out of retirement? Mind you, I know a lot of the celebs etc bought or were given their own when it ended.

Can you believe it's been twenty-three years?
They've picked a lovely time to come back though with a huge cast of politicians who all seem like caricatures to start with.

Mrs Red said "Bloody Hell, is he here?"
hahahahah
Go to Skeg probably 40 times a year
When you work from home its always nice to get out whenever possible, Skeg is 30 miles away so it makes for a great escape all through the year
Must say on Sunday it was nice to walk around with most the holiday makers missing
For the next 8 months I should be able to get my usual perch in my favourite coffee shop
Enjoy your stay Tom and Mrs Red
Cheers Trev.
We've had a lovely bracing walk, now we're having a bite to eat and then we're off to the theatre.
Posh eh?

Hi Maureen. It was lovely to speak with you the other day and it's great to see you on my diary. I only have one other girly contributor, (Well one and a half if you count nirvana) and I need more.
I don't know about a lovely picture, since I started to go bald I only have two looks, a 'just got out of jai'l a crew-cut and an Oliver Hardy fringe.
Don't be a stranger.
