Things that broke today..... I put the lighting socket for the trailer into the socket on the tow bar and the right hand side indicator wasn't working, even though the beep beep buzzer said it was. | Click to see full-size image. |

It wasn't anything simple like a fuse, a blown bulb or a bad contact, so I plugged a lighting board in so that I could see what was happening and started dismantling things. I hate doing electrics. Unless it's the most basic of tasks, I'm crap at it. | Click to see full-size image. |

I traced the cable back from the socket and discovered that it had been wired into the back of the rear offside light cluster. This is where I get lost. Look at all those scary wires. So many different colours.. What goes where and why...... | Click to see full-size image. |

 It's the beep beep buzzer, and judging by the date on it it was put there by the man who fitted the towbar. This was a stroke of luck. The beep beep buzzer is supposed to beep if the indicators on your trailer are working properly, this one was beeping when the indicators were not working. It beeped with fork tongue and I suspected it was something to do with my problem. |

Ha yes i see you didnt fit them  Trouble is they cut thru the wire as you use them, obvs making wire thinner, and they let water in like no tomorrow . |
