I sympathize (that doesnt look right but whatever).Am currently trimming my hedges and tidying the garden.Have cut through the hedge trimmer cable, burnt out the lawnmower, broken my shears and smashed my favourite mug.
I hate gardening.
I know someone who mowed through his lawnmower
kendall
cable.
Got any proof of that?

As I was telling Tony a couple weeks ago, I had a fabulous yucca tree that came to me as an orphaned and unwanted pot plant.
It was a scrawny little thing about 9 inches high when I got it so I took it out of the pot, planted it in the ground and lovingly ignored it for the next few years.
I didn't even know if yuccas could live outdoors but this one absolutely flourished.
I wish I'd taken a proper picture of it but I didn't. All I have is one where I caught it in the background of another pic.
There it is, just over the top left corner of the camper.

And here's a cropped image of it taken from another pic.

Magnificent isn't it? I didn't know yuccas could grow that big.

Well this year, all of a sudden he died.
This yucca was no more. He has ceased to be. 'He had expired and gone to meet his maker. He was a stiff. Bereft of life..... You get the picture.

I was gutted about my yucca.
I couldn't work out why it died. It couldn't have needed water because it had been raining continuously for 6 weeks and it couldn't have been poisoned because all the other plants were OK.
This called for a Google investigation....

Apparently my yucca DROWNED!
Can you believe it? Poor spikey little bugger.
With a heavy sigh I cut him down and threw his corpse on the bonfire.
He left a hole in my heart and in my hedge.

Then, yesterday when I was working near his old stump I made a starting discovery.
He's back!
He has risen from the dead.
He has somehow managed to regenerate himself.
He's survived being orphaned, abandoned, neglected, drowned, chopped down and burned.
What a trooper.
I'll keep you updated on his progress.

Great news on the Yukka, Tom.
Do try not to attempt to kill it this time, eh?

There is a new Schwarzenegger documentary on Netflix now, 'Arnold'.
I haven't watched it yet but I'll give it a go.
While we're on the subject I've watched some terrific football documentaries on Prime over the last couple of weeks..We are Newcastle and Take Me Home Leeds United are definitely worth a watch.
