So we eventually made it to the South Coast at a place called LaCiotat, then we turned left and drove along the Côte d'Azur, spending one night and day in Saint Tropez, Cannes, Nice and Monaco respectively.
Pics to follow.
I'm aware that this sounds a bit flash but we do this stuff on a shoestring, our spends consist mostly of a tank of diesel every 3 or 4 days and, unless we eat out, around €15 per day for food that we prepare ourselves.
Parking was easy and we spent most nights just a minute or two from the beach.
The only real problem was the clean air zone in Nice. The cost of a pass is negligible at €4.61, but the palaver to get one is ridiculous so we decided to park outside it and take a tram into the city.
