Well we didn't made it to the castle or the clock. The fair was far too interesting. We knew it was going to be busy when we got to the roundabout next to the car park. Hecscuse me Sir, is this your mota vehicle? Tom - I want you to take Ralph & me to one of these Horse Fairs please. I'd just love to hear you "think out loud" as you eye up horses & wandering folk. Deal? Sorry to "speak for" Ralph, but I know he'd love it too. Deal! (But if Ralph starts anything, he's your mate. OK?)

How much would that go for Tom? Presumably there'd be a barter process? Do the Gypsies prefer to sell to Gorgers - because they'd get a better price? I guess there'd be a split-level market - one for Gypsies, one for Gorgers? Same with (horse) stock? Do Gypsies trade Goats as well? I only aslk because I know that many horses have a goat "companion" as it helps settle them. I'll grade those Horses for you next. So you know what's best, right?

Okay here are my horsey picks.
The yearling standing alone in the second picture is my third pick.
Very close between the new foal with the white mare for second, and the one that I have picked for first.
But my first pick is the very well muscled (imo) horse in the first picture in the foreground, just.
I do suspect that that new foal may just be an absolute corker though.

It wouldn't be right for me to make public my opinion of the value of the dray. Gypsies will sell to anyone, but the dray would make more money to another Gypsy. They don't trade goats as such, but there is a market for some of the rare breed, novelty, or dwarf goats

Good old fashioned cast iron "Handle over" cooking pots and pans. These are becoming almost impossible to find.
Also note the chitty irons and kettle props.
