Red if you have a soft spot for miss driver, have you seen the US tv series "the riches"where she and eddie izzard play american travellers who after a car crash take over the lives of a suburban couple. Not very flattering towards the US travellers, however it's well acted, entertaining and minnie is scantly dressed in many scenes.LOL

Lol. I'm a bit lost here Kev. Are the Americans who call someone Buffers Gypsies? If so, are the people they are calling Buffers Americans?
Is the show about American Gypsies?

Its a comedy drama and the main characters are American travellers ... they call people who have the house/job/car Buffers .... I just wondered if its a term you have ever heard ?

No. Never heard it.
I'm a bit confused as to who the American travellers are supposed to be. Are they a race, a breed, a cult, an ethnic minority, or are they like the "New Age" travellers that we have in Britain. i.e. just people who at some point in their lives decide to live in a caravan instead of a house?
Why don't they have cars and jobs, what do they do for money?
I would live to watch an episode. Is it streamed anywhere?

They are more "Travellers" than Gypsies ...(your diary has taught me the difference, so you can chalk that one up)
here is a link to the official website of the show.

Tom, don't let age be a barrier to Minnie Driver. A 16-year old Minnie succumbed to the charms of Jack Nicholson.

Don't worry Andrew, I wouldn't let age be a barrier. In fact given half a chance, I wouldn't let the Himalayas be a barrier

It's two Ls in my name, I'll have you know.
Also, Minnie and her square jaw doesn't do it for me.
Much prefer Mickey....
