Is it changing rooms to go into the water at the sea side??

Is it?? Is it??

Whats my prize?Huh?

No idea what it is. But it's not that, for lots of reasons.

If you don't know what it is how do you know what it isn't?? The ladders are for people to climb down into the sea - or for very big rabbitts to get into their hutches?

would they not need to wade through the sea before they could get in to get changed then?  Or would they get in the trailer before it drives to the seafront?

It weighs about 12 tons, it would sink into the sand.

But why all the doors?

4 queues go down quicker than one, in the days when that was a circus box office, they were mobbed out all the time.

(if thats what it is)

It's an old mail van. Post in sacks up the ladder, sorted on the far side of the trailer (no windows) and unloaded at destination in the morning.

Exactly - they used to be horse drawn and then by a steam type thing I don't know the name of. You would get in on the shore and then get out in the water. Splash about a bit and then get out again - and your maid would normally be in the 'hut thing' again to help you dry and dress.

That would only require 4 windows (At a lower level) not 4 doors.

I know I'm opening myself up to ridicule here - but wouldn't the water offset some of the weight so it wouldn't sink?

Yes. The deeper the water, the less chance of it sinking.
