If you ever come to Hinckley, you must visit our award winning loos. They are spotlessly clean, centrally heated, and they even have their own little garden outside.

I wonder what Bill Bryson would say?

PS- I did try to get a photograph of me actually using the loos, (reconstructon of course) but an old guy with a stick kept looking at me funny and he put me off.

Also in Hinckley, this magnificent fir tree. It's so big that you tend to walk under it without seeing it.

One last Hinckley oddity. This one is a recent addition, and one that I can't quite get my head around.

This shop only sells things that are pink. It sells all sorts, from fairy cakes to motorcycles, but only pink ones.

Nearest guess to how long it will stay in business wins a drink at the bar on me.

I'm going for 4 months and two days from today.

The obvious one is about Red being a glutton.

Have a feeling my Misses paid for this shop with all her online ordering.

Gone by Jan 27th I say, well at least I hope.

Well I've heard that they make carnations blue or green just by putting ink in the water, is it the same with canaries ?

Mules and hybrids can become very tame.

Almost Ralph. The bird has to carry the correct gene. In the case of the canary, the "Red factor" first produced by finding a freak fertile mule (Mules are usually infertile)

Then you have to add colour food to the seed or water and the plumage changes colour after the moult. (Like flamingo's)

Nearly.

It's blue and red ink in the water supplies round London.  It's how they make Chelsea and ManUtd fans.
