Thanks Matt.
I have a new poker shout, it came from DTD last week. I damn near pissed myself.
I'll try to post it on here later but it might not translate very well

Not decided yet.
Yes.
Just browsing the schedules as we speak
Will do some sightseeing - people watching - photography - etc but will most prolly be hanging on to Ralph's coat tails most of the time.

Yes. you had to be there.
It was in the £1/2 no cap cash game, we had a drunk at the table, (He was funny drunk, not obnoxious drunk)
We get involved in this pot where it goes something like straddle straddle call call call call, so quite a big pot pre.
The flop comes and someone bets about £40 and still everyone smooth calls, now it's a very big pot.
When the turn card comes it goes check check check around to Mr Drunk, who slowly separates 3 chips from his stack, holds them up for the dealer to see and announces totally deadpan, "I bet two pounds and fifty pence"
The dealer, also totally deadpan, says "Thank you sir, you get 50p change"
Mr Drunk carefully sets the 50p chip on the top of his stack and says, "Swee...t"
At this point, I lose it completely and can't stop laughing for about 20 minutes, by which time, the whole table is falling about.
Everyone at Chez Red is now heartily sick of hearing me say "Swee..t" at every opportunity, especially as I still can't stop laughing every time I say it.

Nicely done. See you at the airport on the 15th.
Some 1/2 mixed games on the flight will while away the time. There are things that you are going to experience that will leave you speechless (both good and bad) but overall you will have a blast.

I think with the size of the pot £2.50 is too small a bet...

So one day my brother Tracy, who was about 12 at the time, comes home with a 4-10 shotgun that he has salvaged from the scrap during a cellar clearance.
It wasn’t a real 4-10. Well, when I say that what I mean is it didn’t start it’s life as 4-10. It started it’s life as an army rifle, and having survived WW2 it was brought home and bored out to take a 4-10 cartridge instead of a bullet. You used to see loads of these at one time, but I haven’t seen one recently. I think most of them have been handed in to the police during firearms amnesties.
I don’t understand why they call them a 4-10. For instance, a 12 bore gets it’s name from the number of barrel sized lead balls needed to make a pound in weight. For a 12 bore it’s 12, for a 16 bore it’s 16, for a 20 bore it’s 20 and so on, but the term 4-10 doesn’t seem to make any sense in this context.
Suffice to say then a 4-10 is the smallest bore of all these guns, indeed, it is the smallest bore shotgun for which ammunition is still readily available, the cartridge being about the same thickness as a Hamlet cigar.
Now forgive me if I digress for a moment, but writing that reminded me of another 4-10 incident that I must tell you about, then we'll get back to my brother Tracy.
In the days before I became a little more familiar with guns, a bloke I knew told me that if he put his duffle coat on and stood 40 yards away from me, I could shoot him in the back with my 4-10 and it wouldn’t hurt him. I was quite intrigued by the prospect of actually shooting someone, and of course didn’t for one moment consider the fact that he may have absolutely no idea what he was talking about.
We set about conducting the experiment. He put on his donkey jacket and diligently paced out 40 yards. I meanwhile loaded my 4-10. (I neglected to mention that my gun was a full choke model, and I also forgot to mention that I was not using the standard 2in cartridge, but rather the 2:3/4in “Forelong” cartridge, “With extra stopping power”
Looking back, it’s incredible to me that I would ever actually point a shotgun at someone that I didn’t intend to kill, let alone discharge it. Even more incredible was the fact that my victim was encouraging me to do it.
He stood with his back to me, lowered his head, flipped up the collar of the duffle coat and shouted that he was ready. I cocked the hammer, took careful aim, and pulled the trigger.
He went down like he had been poleaxed.
I just stood there, rendered helpless for a moment by the enormity of what I had done. A few seconds ticked by. Slowly, and with mounting terror, I started to function again. It was like waking from a bad dream only to find that it wasn’t a dream after all. Reality hit me like a slap in the face and my bowels turned to water.
I looked again at the prostrate form. There was absolutely no movement. He looked like a pile of old discarded rags. I didn’t know whether to run toward him, or run away.
