Why is the slang for rings "groins", and where does the the slang term "brass" meaning harlot come from ?

the reason I ask is I took a pic the other day because I thought it was a monkey puzzle but forgot to ask anyone. so is this one or is this a pine as well?

That looks almost exactly the same as the tree in the botanical gardens, so if mine is a pine, that is too.

I can't touch it. I can't I can't. I had to have a bath after just getting that close to it and I've no more hot water. If it could have only have landed two metres to the north it would have been in my neighbours garden and I would not have to endure such a hellish experience. Will a cat eat it or do they only like fresh meat?
