My dad asked me why, when you are alone it is referred to as being "On your tod"? Is it Rhyming slang? and..
Why, in rhyming slang, is a watch called a "Kettle"?
I agree with Kettle and hob=fob, but I always thought that it was Todd Malone=on one's own, but....
Why is the slang for rings "groins", and where does the the slang term "brass" meaning harlot come from ?

is that 3rd pic a monkey puzzle tree?
No. I think it's some kind of pine, but I can see where you're coming from.
This is a monkey puzzle

the reason I ask is I took a pic the other day because I thought it was a monkey puzzle but forgot to ask anyone. so is this one or is this a pine as well?

Though a quick web search gives a few others "Brass door = whore" ... "Brass Flute = Prostitute"

That looks almost exactly the same as the tree in the botanical gardens, so if mine is a pine, that is too.
great pic btw.

100k? Blimey! Why is that Alex? Do they grind them up into an aphrodisiac or summat?

What sort of bird is this then? It's by my backdoor and it's scaring me. I'm sure it's a bad omen. I don't want to touch it though. Will a cat carry it off in the night?

I can't touch it. I can't I can't. I had to have a bath after just getting that close to it and I've no more hot water. If it could have only have landed two metres to the north it would have been in my neighbours garden and I would not have to endure such a hellish experience. Will a cat eat it or do they only like fresh meat?

Had a quite wonderful day at Edinburgh's botanical gardens last week Tom. These bushes provided a superb backgound for pics of the grandaughter.
