Nicky Power has voiced concerns over the stability of Flipper Walsh in live tournaments. He maintains that Flipper an obvious "lagtard", is getting found out the more he plays. With two Andy Black style "blow-ups" in as many days Nicky fears for the Flipper's current credentials. Flipper maintains that his "rival" Power has said to much and should stay mute in future. I hasten to add that these are not team mates and that there is quite possible a scent of inter-county rivalry in the air.
Why cant they just kiss and make up?

It's probably not the trophy he's eying up today, but Dave Master and his 50,900 in chips certainly wins the award for tidiest stack. An updater's dream! The stack that is, not Dave.

We're in Ireland, the only place with less norkage is Scotland. I'll leave insulting the Welsh to Anne Robinson.

After a plucky display, Pat Keneally (left) has finally departed. With neighbour John Burke (centre) putting Pat all-in on a
Flop, Pat made a brave and correct call with
, to see that his Ace high had John's
pipped. However, he had to avoid not only the King, but also one of nine spades, one of which turned up to the dance on the
River. An academic
River and Pat was sent packing.

In other news, Kevin Keown has joined the ever-increasing list of daisy pushers, his swan song coming in the form of a Big Slick versus Kings confrontation against Dave Mahoney. Dave raised it up to 3.6k, Kevin made it 12k, Dave pushed for an extra 13k and Kevin called. No help and he was gone.
In the aftermath/post-morten, Kevin recalled a previous hand in which he had Kings versus Nines versus a shortstacks A-T. He fended off the Nines to win a sidepot, but a Ten on the Flop and another on the River cost him what he claimed would be a crica 50k pot and great chance of taking this comp by the scruff of the neck.

Tom O'Sullivan is OUT. His assassin was the mischievous Colin Fardy, K-Q vs A-J, 3-5-4-8-Q board.

Play has just reconvened after a 15 minute break. There are 35 players remaining with an average stack of 54,428. The blinds are at 1,000 and 2,000 with a running ante of 200.
