Drama aplenty in the latest all-in hand this time between Colin Quarry and Eoin O Neil were the players involved this time in yet another pre/flop confrontation.

Quarry  three diamonds
O Neil

The flop of   puts O Neil ahead who shakes his first with obvious delight.

It is short-lived however as the  three clubs appears on the turn giving Quarry a set.

But......... a   on the river swings the boat one more time to complete the straight for O Neil. Quarry is now OUT

Dan Bolton has just been eliminated from the Team Event.

The board read  when Nicky "Stewy" Power and Dan "Rooney Dives" Bolton went to war in what was a 180,000+ pot.

Power
Bolton

The turn  and river  three diamonds means Dan Bolton is OUT and we have 17 players left in the tournament.

Snoops will now update you with regards the latest chip positions

Double up to 60k for Dave Mahoney courtesy of Noel Kelly. 2-2 vs. K-Q, A-6-4-5-9 board. Wife Margaret nearly had an orgasm on the rail.  Grin

The cash tables are MANIC here!!!  I saw empty seats at a 1/2 table and decided to watch for a bit.  If it was even HALF sane, I would have joined them, but not one flop is seen for less than €25.   Shocked  Think I'll stick to watching for another bit.

On a side note.  Chatting with all these lads I get to hear loads of bad beat tales.  The latest?  1/2 table.  Hands folded all around to SB who just limps.  Wonder what table he was playing at, because it wasn't lke that while I was watching.  Anyway, BB checks with 62 os.  Flop...6.......2.......2!  BB lad decides 'sod the slow play' and bets 10 into it after SB had checked.  Well, here's where it gets interesting.  SB raised it up another nice chunk of change, saying, 'Oh nooooo you don't.  This pot is MINE!'  Well, by the time they got done re-re-re-re-re (I lost count to be honest) raising...well over €1000 was in the middle and 62 thought he was in for a big win.  Nothing to interest either of them on the turn, but the K on the river sent the lot to....................K2 os lad in the SB.  As it would do...sighhhhhhhhhhhh.

With Nicky's strong performance again in an Irish tournament, it is particularly notable that his fortee seems to be team tournaments. On course for his second final table in as many years, it was Neil Kelly who piped up what we all were thinking. "Gosh Nicky if you only had good team-mates you'd actually have a chance of winning this tourney"

Suffice to say applications can now be sent, in writing, to the following address for Nicky's team next year.

Stewy from family guy,
Somewhere in Waterford,
Probably a poker club,
Ireland

I love this photo of Nicky Power, if only because the suspicious looking chap in the background has either just experience an unfortunate encounter with the Blair Witch, or, perhaps more worringly, has pulled out his todger for a quick Jimmy Riddle.

After a promising start to the day, Ollie St John (below) has alas fallen short, his A-J failing to outdraw Eoin O'Neill's Pocket Tens in what was essentially a standard coinflip. Ollie should consider spreading butter on his coins. 16 remain.

These are the current standings for this years Blonde Poker Team Event waterford. There are four teams in contention to land best team and the situation is as follows:

John Rogers 435 points 1 player remaining
Matt Dobbin 410 points 1 player remaining
Noel Kelly 375 points 2 players remaining
Richie Lawlor 365 points 2 players remaining

As you can see it's almost perfectly set up for the final furlong, may the best team win

Feast your eyes on the final two tables. Mmm, Feast that was a nice ice-cream, especially the toffee one.
