Ketul Nathwani is in hot water now (ahem) after besmirching Lloyd Rees. On a board of
, Lloyd bet 50k and Ketul called. A
on the River then led to a bet from Ketul, Lloyd doing the calling this time and showing K-Q. Ketul, however, had his man pipped with A-Q.

Chili's taken a pretty big hit. Dan Samson raised and Chili re-raised enough to put him in. He called with A-J, dominated by her A-K, but oh the cruelty!
Board -
Not sure exactly how big the pot was, Junglecat tells me it looked to be about 300k, but it could well be more - general consensus in the pressroom was that Samson had over 200k at the start of the hand...

Good luck Maria.
I had Maria on my immediate left on day one and she did very well not to let a couple of beats affect her game. ( not dished out by me for a change...)

Jonathan Raab's prediction is that the event will get around 40 runners. 41 if you come down.

Rollercoaster ride for Maria, yikes.
She and Dan Samson see a flop; it is
. Dan bets 12k, Maria calls.
Turn -
- and they both check now.
River -
- and Maria bets 30k. Dan calls, and his Ten for rivered trips squashes her Jack for two pair. Chili is burning with fiery rage, and down to around 200k.

Hi NFH. Im not playing any EPTs until Monte Carlo I think. Looks like we are going to Rio mid march. Its a pretty big tournament over there, and I really need a vacation:-)... Been so tired of tournament play the last months, and been focusing on cash games, but I have decided to focus more and more on tournament poker again, so I guess Ill be attending a GPTK soon. Im allready looking forward to it...:-)

But Marius-on-Maria action!
In a classic gods-paying-her-back-for-that-AK-v-AJ-outdraw scenario, Maria has totally sucked out against Marius Hogtun. He raised from the button and she shoved with
, only to get herself called by Marius' unbelievably-dominatey A-Q.
Board Of Divine Demetriou Favour -
Back up to around 400k, we reckon; Marius way back down that all important chip-based leaderboard thingy.
