henry= £14M
Bent = £16M

Bent is 23 years old. Henry is a injury prone 30 year old.

Bent isn't half the player Henry was in his prime, but Henry was in his prime a few years ago...

the price for Bent was probably about right. he was the top scoring English player the previous year playing in a decidedly average team and unlike exensive imports wouldn't need time to aclimatise to the prem. he was also I believe only 22.

with hindsight it wasn't worth it but I don't think many thought the valuation was too far out at the time.
in fact at the time of his move half the country were still saying he should've gone to the world cup, something which would only have pushed the price higher.

Really, I thought he was massively overpriced at the time and was worth about half the price.

In fact i don't think he has been that awful at Spurs they just never play him as they have better strikers than him.

8m. Need to score goals over more than one season for me. You'd be lucky to get 8m for him now, which is a pretty impressive devaluation.

Andy Johnson =7.5 million, scored alot of goals for Palace and was still relatively young.

James Beattie = 6mill scored alot of goals at soton.

Dean Ashton = 7 million, scored quite a few goals at Norwich and was younger than bent at time of sale.

Henry 11.5 mil after scoring few goals at Juventus.

Torres 20 mil after scoring a few goals at Atletico.

By the goals they scored both of these players were very over priced.

Nem what do you think the chances are of spurs selling Keane, Berb and Bent?

Who do you think you will bring in to replace him/them

David Villa, Arshavin, Eto'o and finally Santa Cruz.

ManU have offered £20m + either O'shea or Brown for Berbatov

Also, as for Bent, his transfer fee was paid using the monies raised from selling Mido to 'boro and Defoe to Pompey.

Mido was never going to get into the team cos of Berbs and the same with Defoe< Keane. Defoe would have had 1 year left on his contract from now and we wanted to sell him last summer as he was never going to sign an extension.

So we got a very good deal. You check out Bents goals/shot/minutes ratio last season and I'm sure he was our best striker...

In other news Pablo Aimar has subbed Keegan's revolution and signed for Benfica .

So do you think 1, 2 or 3 of the strikers will leave?

Do you think you could sign 2 of the strikers you listed?
