Cinema night

Zero dark thirty the choice unless anyone writes it off.

Worth a visit for?

Yes

Enjoyed it, and Jessica Chastain is great

A rare film where you know how it ends before it starts, but its tense throughout

If you can work out who cast John Barrowman from Torchwood and why, let me know

Moneyball (2011)

Brad Pitt plays 'Billy Beane' GM of the Oakland A's Baseball team who is frustrated trying to build a competitive team under the constraints of a smaller budget than the big hitters.

Thought it was very enjoyable,  I'm sure Tighty will already know that it's based on a true story... A very interesting film and definitely worth a watch.

I loved the original at the time, had the hots for Elisabeth Shue too lol. Enjoyed this just as much now, I find it hard to compare generations really.

I Give It A Year

The Mother-in-Law said we should go and see it, "it's not really a girls film" she says.  Now I know my M-I-L, I knew I wasn't going to particually like it and when we arrived at the cinema and there the big billboard with a huge tag line that says it's the next Bridget Jones Diary (or something like that), I'm already looking to see what else is on.

However, as Mrs S says, we always see films I like so a chick flick once in a while is the least I can do.

It's quite funny in parts, Stephen Merchant is himself which I like, he's funny in it.   There's smiles along the way but that's about it.   Thought the story line was pretty poor. I don't mind the guy going for an old lost love but she's just fallen for a rich American who she's just met, that's pretty shallow in my eyes.  I like action and drama films and they work great on the big screen.  There's films I'd watch on video and this fits in to that category.  It's ok, it's most definitely a girls film, I'd give it 5 out of 10.  I could however look at Rose Byrne  and Anna Faris in the Agent Provocateur gear for a long time, a very long time and I have to say I may have developed a thing for Minnie Driver.

Classic film IMO. Certainly a 9/10 10/10 film. In my top 10
